Bw Retro Robot

Retro is a pilot, first and foremost. And it's because of this that, despite his outward cockiness, he takes great personal shame for the crash that stranded him and his crew on their strange watery world.
Though his flamingo mode is a little ungainly on the surface, and totally useless underwater, he is unparalleled in the sky.
The only flyer among his Maximal brethren, he spends most of his time in the air searching for dry land, or for the Predicons that shot them down. His sensors use the surface of the water to enhance his otherwise rather normal auditory and visual systems.
his primary weapons include the shoulder mounted "flash" cannons that blind his enemies with bright colors as well as deliver a powerful blast that knocks them down.

One of the first Beast Wars transformers I created, this guy was made a gift for my Godmother who absolutely adores flamingos. It's been a while since I've drawn him, but I still remember a lot of the little details I had originally created for him, such as the chevron of feather like shapes on his chest, and the compartment on his stomach which his head folds down into (taking direct inspiration from G2 Laser Optimus Prime who I had just recently aquired when I created this guy).
