What's that you say? I've done this one before? I've repeated my self twice now? Well, I say... yes. Yes I am.

I was given an opportunity to redo this logo by my Patron, Rmartin691 so I took it. The previous one I didn't do everything in Illustrator and it bugged me.

What I did on this one was did the jeweled effect by hand in Illustrator, and also added texture from stock images to flesh it out.

The hardest part was all the...stuff in the background. There is so much of it that my eyes start to spin a little. I remember this being an issue with the previous version as well.

If you like this design, it is available on my TeePublic store. www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/1354…

Honestly, I think both versions are just fine. Though the text you used for "Mahou Sentai" is a bit more appropriate here.
If I had to make a critique, I'd say... Instead of replacing the 4 circles with an oval, I would have suggested replacing it with a rectangular tube that is rounded off in a circular way at both ends. That way, it covers up the 4 circles while still keeping the same basic shape. With an oval, it ends up getting pinched on either side and you might end up losing some detail.

But I still highly respect all the hard work you've done, especially with a low-res Japanese logo to work off of. As much as I want to make these as well, my problem is (besides lacking the motivation to finish the projects), I want to go off a high-res logo for a reference. I usually want to wait for the raws from the Blu-Rays. I'd say, if anyone has gotten the closest to making an official English logo of these tokusatsu shows, it's you.
